Organic Buckwheat Cake
(absolutely amazing served with coffee and cream)
Ingredients
1 cup organic buckwheat flour
½ cup corn flour
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 ¼ teaspoon cinnamon ground
½ teaspoon ginger ground
½ teaspoon allspice ground
Pinch mustard powder
Pinch ground pepper
1 tablespoon golden syrup
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup water
Directions
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius
Mix together dry ingredients in a large bowl
Stir together wet ingredients in another bowl
Make a well in centre of dry ingredients and pour in wet ingredients
Mix batter well and pour into an ungreased baking tin
Bake for 30-40 minutes until cooked
Allow to cool completely on a wire rack
